Two months? Really?

Friday, March 5th, 2010

Oh. Hello there. It’s been so long since we posted I had forgotten what you looked like. Sorry for the super long delay between pages. We’ll try to do better in the future. In the meantime, enjoy the newest page. I would just like to add that my wife really isn’t a crazy, jealous person. She’s very sweet and accommodating of my nerd tendencies. MWAH! That’s for my lady.
Until next time, I remain,
Ray

As accommodating as my wife is, I don't think she'd let me do that...

With respect to Frank Miller…

Hey people. So Brian and I figure we’re gonna get a lot of crap from people about this week’s page. Now, I understand the use of the word ‘retard’ is considered rude and offensive by some, and I kinda fall into that group. Allow me to explain why Brian and I are went there.
This week’s page is meant to be a homage to one of the great comic book creators of our time, Mr. Frank Miller. If you don’t know who he is (and I’m thinking this is more for my older female family members), Mr. Miller is credited with helping bring about the modern age of comics as we know it. He helped introduce adult storylines to an industry that typically pandered to the under-12 crowd, and he brought a level of sophistication to graphic storytelling that is still revolutionary. Some of his groundbreaking works include: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Daredevil: Born Again, Sin City, and 300. If you haven’t read any of this man’s stories, I suggest you get to it.
Anyway, most comic fans get the reference in this weeks strip. The “Goddamn Batman” meme has been going around since Frank introduced it in the pages of “All-Star Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder” in 2005.

Who knew Batman was such a pottymouth?

Brian and I are kinda late to the game, but we don’t care. Brian just wanted to have the Blue Tit yell out “I’m the Goddamn Blue Tit!” and now he has. Good times…
Please don’t hate us.

Yes he is.

Yes he is.

And now, a very special episode of “Tales of the DarkRaven”

Hey fans! I don’t have a lot of time this week to post, but I just wanted to say thanks again for sticking with these two crazy guys. Hope you like this week’s page. Until next time!

The movie I'm looking forward to seeing next (after you know, Iron Man 2).
