Hope you all had a good week! I got a sneak peek at the upcoming pages for TotDR from Brian over the weekend, and they look sweeeeeet! I can’t wait to post them for ya!

I wanted to thank my friend Johnny Rags for helping me color this weeks page. John is a good guy who took some time out of his life to help a brother out, and I really appreciate it.

Hello again! I’ve got to keep it short this week, because I have to get up early tomorrow for a photo shoot.

One thing I would like to point out about this week’s page, is that we have nothing against any of the fine coffee houses in the city of Rochester. We just couldn’t decide whether we wanted to promote Spin Coffee or Spot Coffee, as they are both equally fine establishments. In the end, we decided to combine the two! Problem solved.

Stupid Brian and his stupid 'Stan Lee is my Superhero' t-shirt...

I wanted to say thanks to my friend John again for helping with the coloring this week. I’m trying to get a bit ahead with the coloring and lettering, and I have a good start on next week’s page. Which is a good thing, since I’ll be on vacation in Oklahoma starting this Friday and going all through next week!

Despite my absence, fret not! A new page of DarkRaven and Blue Tit goodness will be served up next Wednesday for your viewing pleasure. Such is the coolness of the publish-on-a-future-date feature of ComicPress (thank you Tyler Martin!).

I can’t wait to see all my friends and family in Oklahoma! It’s been too long (about a year and a half) since my last visit. Now we gotta figure some way of getting Brian down there so I can introduce him to everyone…

I take this superhero business seriously...

Hello friends,

My trip to see my family and friends in Oklahoma last week was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life! We celebrated my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and it was a rockin’ good time. Melisa and I spent some time in Tulsa visiting with friends as well, and we even took the kids on a campus tour of Oklahoma State University so that the soon-to-be-sixteen-year-old could get a taste of what the college experience will be like. I ate way too much, so you might notice a few extra pounds on the old DarkRaven in the next couple of strips.

Brian was very upset that I didn’t take him with me. I assured him that next time he gets to go with me. He might even pick up his very own pair of cowboy boots, just like I did. 

We might have to work that into the comic somehow…
