Muffins CAN swim, apparently…

Big news this week! Our humbly little webcomic received a positive review at WebcomicZ on January 22 (we just found out about it last week). Brian and I would like to say that we appreciate the kind words and critique from Christopher Schultz, and we recommend everyone check out WebcomicZ when they have a spare moment.

Also, Brian, Joey and I may be attending the New England Webcomics Weekend on March 20-22. We’re in the planning stages now, but we’re hoping the stars align and we’ll be able to visit with some of our favorite webcomic creators. Hopefully we’ll see you there!

And finally, I’ve decided to give you guys a little something extra every week. It’s not much, maybe a quick comic review, or a funny image that I’ve swiped from the web. Whatever it is, hopefully it will give you a nerdish chuckle.

See you next time!

Tales of the DarkRaven: Year One

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Hey friends! “Tales of the DarkRaven” reached a very important milestone this past week. One year ago, our humble little webcomic spread it’s wings and took flight for the first time. It’s our First Birthday!

I can’t believe that we’ve been posting for almost a year, or that we’ve been working on the comic in one form or another for at least a year and a half. I speak for all of us when I say ‘Thank You’ to everyone who’s supported us on our journey, especially our long-suffering wives. All of you make it worthwhile.

We’ve also updated the website a bit in honor of our birthday. If you look at the nav menu at the top of the page, you’ll notice we’ve added a forum and a recent news page. So if you have any comments or just want to find out the latest gossip, check ‘em out.

Thanks again for making this first year so awesome. Here’s looking forward to many, many more.

Any publicity is good publicity…

I want to start off by saying sorry for taking so long to update today’s page. Brian did such an amazing job with the pencils and inks that I just didn’t feel right rushing through the coloring and lettering. (Or maybe its because I suck and got a late start last night. No, no, let’s go with the former.)

If you don’t know already, Brian, Joey and I are all on Facebook. If you’re there, give us a friend request and we’ll more than likely accept it!

Except for Brian, if he’s feeling surly. Which is quite often. (He hits me when no one else is around.)

Excelsius!

Hey friends. I’m gonna keep it short this week. Brian and I didn’t get to go to the New England Webcomics Weekend like we had hoped. I read some reviews that stated a swell time was had by all. Maybe next year.

We’re looking for some local comic conventions in the New York/New England/Toronto area to hit up. If you know of any, drop us a line.
